The American Tax Payer’s

Declaration of Independence

In the Hearts and Minds of Every American Patriot, April 15th 2009

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the financial bonds which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security. --Such has been the patient sufferance of the American taxpayers; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former systems of government. The history of the present Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over the American taxpayers. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.

This government is guilty of forcefully requiring the American taxpayer to submit personal and corporate financial history and using this as a basis to determine how much they will take from the American taxpayer, and having no authority to do so, except the authority granted by the American taxpayer. They are guilty of garnishing the hard earned wages of individuals who fail to submit to their tyranny and placing citizens who do not abide by these rules under economic duress.

This government is guilty of, hypocritically, never being accountable or responsible for the money taken from the American taxpayer and spent on behalf of the American taxpayer. It never releases detailed public records of their transactions to the American taxpayers, who finance its usurpations and destructive actions.

This government is guilty of using expanding government agencies and using their employees against the very people whom they are sworn to protect and defend, in order to obtain their personal financial information, when it is not willfully submitted. They fight their citizens with extreme force to collect these dictated portions of income. In doing so they have abused the power granted to them by the very people they are elected to represent. In addition, they have erected a multitude of new offices, and sent swarms of agents and officers to monitor and harass our people, and eat out their substance.

This government is guilty of forceful suppression to the opposition to their invasions on the rights of the people.

This government is guilty of treating certain well connected officials and citizens with preferential treatment and favoritism by releasing them of their debts which no ordinary citizen would ever be released from.

This government has affected to render the government and its officials independent of and superior to civil power and the Constitutional law which we hold sacred.

This government has refused its assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

This government is guilty of providing aid to countless foreigners, who illegally reside within our borders and cause vast amounts of the American Taxpayer’s wealth to be spent on maintaining the wellbeing of people who violate our laws.

This government has taken away our charters, perverted our most valuable laws, and fundamentally altered the original form of our government.

The American taxpayers recognize this government’s movement towards socialism and nationalization of our private sector. They have become excessively involved in the regulation of our economy and financial matters to the point of hindering the normal functionality and profitability of our economic system. Furthermore, we believe it to be self-evidently counterproductive to the pursuit of happiness of the American taxpayers who are forced to financially support or contribute, in any way, to the reinforcement of apathetic individuals who, irresponsibly, do not provide for their own enterprise, or betterment. We recognize this government maintained movement toward socialism and the general support of personal irresponsibility, unaccountability, and the atrophy of our free enterprise economic system and our society as a whole by the passing of laws. We believe this creates dependence on the government thus submitting more power to the government and releasing us of the blessings of freedom.

This government is guilty of cutting off our trade with parts of the world.

The American taxpayers find absolute absurdity in the reasoning that laws should be passed for light and transient causes. The American taxpayers find reason to believe that the more laws a governing body enforces is in direct relation to the freedoms the financers of government must relinquish. Therefore, common sense dictates that passing bills into law should be done cautiously, with discussion and debate, and with absolute transparency to the American taxpayer who is expected to relinquish their freedom or give their money to meet the purpose of a law. Laws should also be repealed with the same levels of caution, debate, and trust. This government has acted in manners which do not reflect this intelligent method of governing. They hastily act to grossly spend the wealth of the American taxpayer without deliberation or caution. They operate swiftly, at irregular hours of operation in order to fatigue opposition into compliance with their measures. They do so as if to hide the contents of their propositions from the American taxpayer, without obtaining all the information and knowledge required to make educated decisions. They hide behind the façade that these laws are passed for a sole common good. They stuff their bills full of wasteful spending, lobbyist interests, personal gains, and hold the American taxpayer in obligation to pay for their misuse and outright abuse of power. They have penned extraordinarily outrageous, massive, verbose, bills which hide propositions from the officials who are supposed to vote on them and the American taxpayer who is supposed to pay for them. They rush these large bills through the process by which bills become law before the elected representatives of the American taxpayer, and the American taxpayer themselves have the time to carefully consider the implications or results of passing such bills. In the performance of these actions, they clearly announce that they have lost sight of the people they have sworn to serve and have shown more of an apparent concern in serving their own interests and motives. They have obtained great wealth at the expense of the American taxpayer. These actions stand in direct violation to the sanctity of our republic and remove the rights of the people to govern themselves. This is the very definition of tyranny, which is to say, a cruel use of power by an oppressive government.

The American taxpayers take offense to the idea that this government and the elected officials within it still serve the people for the common good. We believe they forcefully, and in all ways with all the characteristics of with which tyranny can be defined, rule over the people for their own interests and this is proven every time they freely take and spend our money, without accountability to the very people who finance their way of life, and in the passing of laws that do not uphold or defend the common good.

This government is guilty in respect to the failure to meet or pursue all of the basic original, foundational goals of our governing document, The Constitution of the United States of America.

The American taxpayers take offense to the thought that this government, in its present form, which seems to only serve the powerful and corrupt members of its own body, is working towards a “more perfect Union”.

The American taxpayers take offense to the proposal that this unjust and tyrannical government can “establish Justice”. Justice and tyranny cannot coexist and ultimately only one survives any attempted unification.

The American taxpayers take offense to the belief that this government, in its current form and forceful tyrannical nature, can and will “insure domestic Tranquility” while it currently abuses our national treasury and spends the untold fortunes of our collective effort and earning in a wasteful and despicable manner.

The American taxpayers take offence to the fallacy that this government can and will “provide for the common defence” with its current practice of extending and perverting our sacred Constitutional rights to terrorists and war criminals who plot and perform actions to attack and kill our citizens and the brave men and women of our armed forces. We reject the action of releasing these vile, murderous, lunatics who have directly or indirectly sworn to and carried out deeds which terminate the lives of American taxpayers. Having not yet been carried out as of this date, the American taxpayers would like to let our government know that when these actions result in the harm of a single American taxpayer, we have no choice but to view this as a blatant act of treason, committed behind the deception of peace and providing aid to our enemies. Furthermore, the American taxpayers do not accept any prior notion that we should finance their release or any expense which strengthens our enemies and does not result in their captivity or punishment of their crimes.

The American taxpayers take offense to the belief that this government, in present manifestation, can “promote the general Welfare” based on its own irresponsibility and fiscal abuses against its employer, the American taxpayer.

The American taxpayers take offense to the notion that more government involvement in our personal and private matters, paid for by their own hard earned income, is the best way to “secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”

In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms: our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury.

This government is guilty of every act contained in the list of factual offenses and injustices which we have submitted and the continued tyrannical abuses of power against the American taxpayer.

Therefore, the American taxpayers hold these truths to be self-evident, that this ineffective government, which obtains any and all authority from the American taxpayers it is sworn to govern, has infringed upon the unalienable rights to which the American taxpayers have been endowed by their creator and promised by their government. Among these are violations against LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS of, by, and for the American taxpayers. This government, in present form, has become destructive to these ends. Therefore, the American taxpayers henceforth exercise their right to alter or abolish this governing body, by declaring independence from the financial ties that bind us to this tyranny, and recognize this severance by absolute refusal to pay the debts levied upon us by deceitful and unjust means. Furthermore, we swear to uphold and defend the Constitutional rights of ourselves and our fellow citizens to peacefully meet our goal of nullifying those debts which hinder us from meeting our original Constitutional goals, and all debts which aim to socialize our government and economy.

Moreover, the taxpayers of the United States of America, in good conscience, assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the name, and by the authority of the Constitution of these United States of America, solemnly publish and declare, that the American taxpayers are, and of right ought to be free from these debts levied upon us by an ineffective, fiscally irresponsible, and ultimately tyrannical government; that we are absolved from all ties to debts which do not best serve the American taxpayers as a whole, and that all financial connections between the American taxpayer and the debt which this government has incurred on our behalf, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as free and independent citizens of this land, we have full power to peacefully settle this matter, establish commerce, return loaned monies, and to do all other acts and things which free people may of right do. And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.
